Hey and hello, we have made it to the end of the year y'all!!! It’s been a rough journey, but a learning experience for me. What about you? So we are finna do a recap of this year, what I (we) are going to be working on, and what’s done is done. If you haven’t, check out the post thus far and get ready for what’s to come. Links will be provided at the end; let’s get started.

Recap…

This year has been eventful and interesting. It has opened my eyes to things and people. As of now, I know what’s finna happen, but anyway. These are the events that happened in 2025:

  • Feisty and Buttons became parents to 6 kittens. (we lost 2)
  • We lost our apartment, and I found someone to foster feisty and babies, and I kept Buttons with me
  • Fiancee stayed with friends, and Buttons and I lived with other friends
  • We all ended up living with the person who fostered feisty (lived there for a month)
  • We all then lived with the friend that he was with.
  • Father passed (finally got his ashes)
  • Back with the friend I was with, but Buttons is with this co-worker’s daughter
  • Lost an apartment

We need to work on…

During this journey, my eyes were opened, and I had to set boundaries and either let people go or distance myself from them. One thing I realize is that people base what they know based on where you are in life. I try to let people know what I know due to experience and knowledge. Example, recycling. You can not put shopping bags (plastic) in the bin anymore because it messes up their machines. I tried to tell someone that, but because they do it and they take it, it’s fine…okay. They then get a notice on the bin saying “DO NOT PUT PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS IN THE BIN. The person then told me, “When y'all take recycling out, you have to dump the bag, then throw the bag in the garbage.” In my head, “Didn’t i not say that?”

We were then talking about politics. Where I reside, during the summer, they were protesting every sunday and I said y'all voted and now you regret it. She said he didn’t win this particular state…yes, he did i said. So that went back and forth. While I was verifying my side, she was now thinking about it. I showed my proof, and all they said was ohhhhhh okay. I can go on and on, but anyway, give credit where it’s due and if someone was right and/or you were wrong, admit and own it.

What’s done is done…

I took a break from blogging and posting because I was pushing myself and overdoing it. So I said Imma stop and focus on what I have done and get that together to move forward. I finally got it going. I set my goal(s) and made my plans. I turned in apps for jobs (nothing) and apartments (waitlisted and waiting). I figured out where imma start as far as product and posting schedule. I’m going to go over all things to make sure that it’s set to start and go strong from here on out. Business (name, tagline/slogan, logo), going to go over all descriptions to make sure they fit my purpose and what platforms imma focus on. I got the start of my podcast ready (name and description). While working on growing the business, I’m working on our wedding ceremony and saving for that and all other things.

I will be busy and growing. During all this, my words for 2026 are:

  • Focus
  • Shamelessness
  • Embrace

I chose these because I find that I lose focus as I go…Or I jump in and out of focus. I (we) can’t be ashamed of where we are in life because that breeds denial, and then we can't fix anything. So embracing what’s going on will help us understand and grow. Understanding that I can’t control everything but myself has gotten me this far in life. And that’s what I stand by… that’s why I love the serenity pray. BTW, I also attended church and bible study, and I love it.

Conclusion

If you made it this far, thanks for checking me out. With this being the end of 2025, and you want to follow my journey, check out what I have out. Not only follow and subscribe, but also engage with the post, and share it with others. I want to build an online community of support. People complain about everything, but they do want to help. And support is what we need at this moment. So again, thank you, and I hope to hear from you.
